Ground Turmeric

Ground turmeric, also known as Indian saffron, has a gingery-mustard flavour and is made through the use of hammer mills to avoid loss of quality. It is used as the main ingredient in curry powder and mustard paste for both its colour and aroma which are very important for these products.
